Colors and Canyons - Grand Canyon Air and Ground in Scottsdale, Arizona

There is not much else on earth more spectacular than viewing the Grand Canyon from directly over the widest part in a helicopter with wrap-around views! This tour from Phoenix/Scottsdale enjoys the best of both worlds with a ground and air tour of the Grand Canyon, not to mention a visit to the Navajo Nation and Sedona.

After departing the Phoenix metro area, Sedona will be our first stop along the tour. Guests will have a chance to photograph the famous Red Rocks, stretch their legs and take a quick walk around this picturesque town. While you are enjoying Sedona, your guide will pick up your excellent picnic lunch made fresh that morning before departing to the Grand Canyon. Upon departing Sedona, the tour passes through Oak Creek Canyon, a scenic byway that winds through 2000 vertical feet of a red walled canyon to emerge surrounded by the dense ponderosa pines of the Coconino National Forest.

Atop the Mogollon Rim, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff on our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Guests will enjoy more than three hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. Just prior to entering the Grand Canyon National Park, your guide will check you in for your 45-50 minute helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon. While on the Helicopter Tour, you will be treated to views only seen by less than 10% of all visitors to the Grand Canyon National Park. Those views include Marble Canyon, Pointe Imperial, Little Colorado River, the Dragon Corridor, and of course the North Rim. Following your Helicopter Tour, you will reunite with your guide and explore the infamous 30-mile section of road that winds east along the rim of the canyon, showcasing the best rim views and history along the way.

Before returning to Phoenix from the Grand Canyon, we will be treated to distant views of the Painted Desert as well as close up views of the Little Colorado River Gorge and Navajo Nation. The Painted Desert is the perfect backdrop for our stop in the Navajo Nation at a prominent trading post. You will be able to get a glimpse into the past, view the highest quality authentic Navajo artwork and craft work, as well as a gift shop to bring back souvenirs for friends and family.
