Hawaii Facts

Hawaii is one of the more unique travel destinations on earth considering its spectacular diversity and extraordinary adventures available for travelers. The only state in the U.S. that is completely surrounded by water Hawaii consists of eight islands with approximately 1,400,000 individuals calling it home. Volcanic activity from the hotspot was and still is the culprit of how the islands exist some 2,000 miles southwest of North American mainland.

The tropical climate throughout the islands makes for a year round destination with temperatures ranging from the upper 60’s – upper 80’s Fahrenheit. Things to Do in Hawaii are plentiful with hundreds of miles of beaches and scenery that is nearly un-matched anywhere else on earth. Elevations range from sea level all the way up to peaks of Mauna Kea on the big island reaching 13,803 feet (4,207 meters). If one was to take into account the height under water of Mauna Kea it is actually 33,500 feet (10,200 meters) tall making it more than twice Mount Everest’s base to peak height.
