Recognizing Pro Adventurer Felix Baumgartner
Coming across somebody as daring as Felix Baumgartner needs to be written up. This well known Austrian is a professional skydiver planning an attemp to break the world record for the highest parachute jump at above 120,000 feet. The current record at 102,800 feet was set almost a life time ago in 1960 (50 years ago) by Joe Kittinger. It is difficult to imagine this record being set prior to a man landing on the moon and still standing. This jump will be from a helium balloon somewhere in an undisclosed area of North America scheduled for sometime later this year according to the BBC. To put the height in perspective imagine that Mt. Everest is 29,000 feet and commercial aircraft flies at 35,000 feet putting Felix jumping from a balloon at over 3 times these heights. They are expecting the freefall to be over 5 minutes and for Felix to exceed the speed of sound. We wish Felix the best of luck and safety for a successful jump. You can read more about this at

Adventures Only - Find Adventures and Activities Around the World
Adventures Only is a search engine for adventures and activities around the world. Our unique website will cure your boredom and help you find fun and adventurous things to do. We connect adventurers with adventure companies. If you know of an adventure company not listed on our site please use our
recommendation form. We are constantly adding new listings in our search engine so check back often to find more in your area or your travel destination.
We created the site because we actively travel and do many of the adventures listed on our site. During our travels we found it hard to find these activities on google or through other sources. Adventures Only is the solution to this problem.
Our site is currently a work in progress but we expect a full release by the end of 2009. Thanks for reading our blog and our Forum is opening in August where adventurers can connect and discuss their favorite activities.
